India’s Guwahati film festival screens ‘Komur’

The Guwahati Int'l Film Festival in India screens Iranian-French film ‘Komur’.

The 2019 edition of the Guwahati International Film Festival in India has screened Iranian-French film ‘Komur’.

‘Komur’, directed by Esmaeel Monsef, opened the 3rd edition of the Indian event on October 31.

“Revenge is the product of humiliation…,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The flick narrates the story of Gheirat, a modest charcoal producer, who has been pushed into a tragic spiral after his son received a jail sentence.

The film is starring Hadi Eftekharzadeh, Zhila Shahi, Yousef Yazdani, and Farid Adhami, among others.

Iran is the Country of Focus for this year’s edition of the Guwahati International Film Festival.           

The Guwahati International Film Festival is organized by the Assam Government-owned Jyoti Chitraban (Film Studio) Society.

The 2019 edition of the gala will come to an end on November 6.
